thalia_seawoodI had a lovely 24/12 which is the day we celebrate Christmas in Germany.
When I went to work early in the morning, the weather was perfect! No clouds in the sky and the loveliest sunrise! And snow lying everywhere! Yes, we actually had the marvelous thing called "White Christmas".
At work, exchanged some presents with two of my collegues who have become close friends during the last year. One of them had brought me a bottle of rum from the Carribean. (I will open it in honor of Jack Sparrow. :-))
Also had the traditional Bavarian "Weißwurstfrühstück" at work.
Went home from work around noon and the weather was still amazing. The sun was shining, the sky was cloudless and very blue and the snow was sparkling. [sigh] Just marvelous!
Visited my parents, made pizza for my own visitors, went to mass, afterwards visited another friend who had a cosy little party. There I talked to someone I had never appreciated much before and realized that we actually have a lot in common. Had a very enjoyable evening. Actually, I just came home 10 minutes ago and it's now already nearly 2.30 am.
Outside it's freezing cold right now (-12.5° Celsius)!
Off to bed -- I think I will take a hot water bottle with me. And the cat. :-)
