One of the trees in front of our house is bending under the weight of the snow.

The trees across the road have already lost some branches.

The garden behind our house...

Can you find our garden chairs underneath the snow?

The cat can't believe it's really that bad and ventures outside.

The cat tests if the snow does hold her. It turns out it doesn't. (Too bad I didn't record the sound she made when she sank in. She snorted in a kind of "oh, sod it all" way. :-))

wow, if we got snow like that where I live, people would be losing their minds. (The South) Actually we did, once and our power was out for a week.

Well, we're used to snow in the south of Germany. We have it every year, you just never know when. I remember snow in October or snow as late as April or May. Usually, January is *the* snow month though.
This year is unusual as we had 4 months of snow so far and got these huge amounts of snow in March. What you see in my pictures is snow that fell only over the course of 30 hours! (Public transport was basically down today, subway trains were still running, but that was it. And 265 flights were cancelled at our local airport yesterday/today.)
