Excerpt:
Sparrow heaves out another sigh, and puts his hands up, moving
outside the vault. I keep my blade on him the entire time. "I really don't
think this is necessary, Commodore. I haven't come to cause any trouble."
"Sparrow, I find you cause trouble simply by breathing. How can
you -not- be here to wreak havoc? It is your modus operandi." I gesture him
over to the corner. "However, this time you've taken it a step too far,
breaking into the personal office of the Royal Governor while the entirety
of Port Royale is here ..."
"...To celebrate the engagement of the lovely Miss Elizabeth Swann,
to the fine upstanding pirate - I mean, blacksmith Will Turner. I know,
mate. I was invited." Sparrow says, lifting one eyebrow.

After a lot of searching, I found a Jack/Norrington story that I absolutely adore. It's exactly the story I had wanted to read.
At first, I nearly passed over it, because it's a first person narrative (Norrington's POV) and most of the time first person narratives don't work for me. You really have to know a character very well to write first person, in my opinion. But in this instance it works!
There is Flirty!Jack and Snarky!Norrington - and both feel like they have jumped out off the movie right into this story.
There are some very funny moments in this story, there's lots of character exploration and the feelings between Jack and Norrington grow very realistically.
What more do you want?
(Nothing, but a sequel! Most urgently at that!)
