thalia_seawoodThe teeth are out. The operation was really okay - since I was drugged, I don't remember it.
The upper teeth that only needed to be pulled out, don't hurt.
But the places where my lower teeth had to be cut out after removing bits of my jaw hurt like hell.
Since the strong pain killer they gave me, didn't help (only toned down the pain for 1 hour or so), my friend called the doctor yesterday. I then went there again and they checked the wounds. Well, the lower ones have become inflammed. So now I have to go there every day and also take antibiotica.
Just wish I could sleep for more than 2 hours, but I always wake up after 1,5 hours at the lastest. Then I have to find a comfortable position and some happy thoughts that help me fall asleep again.
Hopefully, things improve soon. Some hours without pain would be appreciated. On the other hand, there are so many people out there who are really ill and they cannot hope that there pain will stop in a week or so. So I'll stop complaining and will go back to bed.

Date: 2003-09-15 12:40 am (UTC)They only gave me some drug containing 500 mg Paracetamol and 30 mg Codein.
That's not really a knock-out pill, though I do get a bit hazy when taking Paracetamol.
Don't know for sure, but I have the feeling that in Europe they are much more hesitant to prescribe heavy painkillers. Which is actually good. Imagine I had taken really strong painkillers - then I wouldn't have gone to the doctor for a checkup and they wouldn't have noticed the infection of three holes till Tuesday... Not a nice thought.
