thalia_seawoodI survived a week from hell.
After spending a nice weekend camping with our company and learning better teamwork,we came back to work on Monday - and Real Life put us through a hard test.
Blasterworm32 attack on Monday, SOBIG virus on Tuesday and more SOBIG since yesterday. Our company managed not to get infected and we also managed to protect our customers. But, wow, this week sure kept us busy. Phones ringing, some servers crashed due to the many mails produced by the SOBIG virus, another server crash because of a power shortage. And in between normal day business like "my printer doesn't work" and "my mailbox is in English - could you change that, please."
All this combined with the fact that two of my collegues are on holiday and my former manager is having her baby break - and I took over a lot of their duties. August was supposed to be quiet. Hmpf. On the other hand, it's nice to have a challenge and something to whine about. :-)
Ah, well, we survived. The teamwork we learned to improve last weekend, came in handy. :-)
Hopefully, it gets better next week!
Will try to get some beta-reading done tomorrow and on Sunday. Also still have to do that tax declaration...
