It's too hot to write! Stepping outside the house is like stepping into a hot, hot, hot bath. (35°C yesterday and today and tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. And no rain in sight.) Am very glad that I don't live in Italy or Spain!
Since Germany is rarely that hot, we don't have good air conditioning either. At least, I live no longer in my old flat, but in a solid house built in the fifties. Due to the solid stone walls, it's a bit cooler in here - as long as you never ever open the windows.
If it stays like that I can also press my brain in a romance novel. :-)
Very strange - last year Germany in August was flooded by rain showers.
