It's amazing how exhausting it can be to do nothing.
My year up till the end of June has been extremely busy as we had some big projects at work. So my holiday starting at the end of June was the first real holiday since October 2002. So while technically I had wanted to use the time doing lots of things, I ended up doing nothing much. :o)
Things I didn't do:
- Tax declaration. I HATE doing tax declarations...
- Starting to learn Spanish again.
- Reading the 28 books I bought or borrowed but didn't have the time to read yet. Well, I did read 6 books on my to-read list, so the list has been reduced to 22 books. Not that I mind really. I love reading and its cool to see that I still have 22 books to look forward to.
- Weeding the garden.
- Doing stuff in the house like sanding and painting the doors.
- Figuring out how to design webpages.
- Responding to e-mails.
Things I did do:
- Reading.
- Surfing the net.
- Sleeping.
- Watering the plants and feeding the cat.
- Eating.
- Sleeping.
- Feeling guilty about not doing the tax declaration.
- Cycling.
- Swimming.
- More reading.
- Enjoying life.
And I'm really proud to say that I used the holidays to make my appointment for the wisdom teeth removal surgery thing. I didn't go to a dentist for seven years after I had been threatened: "You know: Your wisdom teeth have to be removed." This year I finally gathered my not very considerable courage and went to the dentist, had my teeth fixed and believed the dentist when she refered me to the surgeon. Since the operation will take place in fall, I now have two months time to work up a good, solid, old-fashioned panic.
Work starts again on Monday. Duh. I need more time for doing nothing!

Your lists of things done/not done sound strangely familiar to my own...
Wisdom teeth, schmisdom teeth! Although...I had mine removed when they were tiny, so maybe that was why they were pretty painless...
